Want to take take the fun with you when you are on the road? Some of the most fundamental components for having a great party are now portable.

One gadget that calls itself the “party in a box” is the International Dance  Party” which looks like a very large boom box. The thing has a sensor in it that detects dancing. Once it detects “fun” it turns up the volume and starts flashing lights.

Do you want a booth to party in? The Port-A-Party looks like a cross behind a giant Port a Potty and a great big iPod. You open the door and inside there is a disco ball and an iPod dock.

Speaking of toilets, the party does not have to stop just because your guests hit the can. The Toilet Tunes is a sound machine that attaches to the lid of your toilet.  A wireless sensor starts playing dance tunes when the seat is raised.  Another perk to this is that it can help disguise any unpleasant noises while one is eliminating.

You might also want to check out the DJ mobile car which is inspired by the Pope mobile and made by Dutch Artist Olaf Moil who binged out his car with giant tubular speakers so that it looks like a big blaring PA system. The speakers on the back of this old Chevrolet look like rockets and you can rent it via Olaf Mooij’s website.

If you don’t like the typical disco ball you can also try for the skeleton ball.  This is a twist on the disco ball and you can get it for about forty dollars online in places like the Fright Catalog. It is just like the traditional version, except skull shaped and with glowing LED eyes.

Have you always wanted to shower your guests with glitter? You can now get a gun that shoots glitter shots instead of bullets.

Want to combine business with pleasure?  A company called Dance Charge has developed an armband that can charge your telephone with the power of the dance. Each movement you make physically translates into kinetic energy that is then used to charge your phone.

Finally if a little burlesque dancing is on your agenda then you might want to buy yourself a peekaboo pole dancing kit.  This is a pole that can extend so that it reaches the feeling and fits tightly.  Then your guests can take turns partying on the pole.

It is almost like the age of the Jetsons is absolutely here. Yesterday’s cars only have wheels and brakes. The prestigious company called Peugeot held a design contests that challenged people to design cars of the future and the results were incredible. The areas of focus were energy saving, economic viability, efficiency and interactive mobility and some of the world’s most innovative car designers pitched in designs.
There all kinds of interesting touches added to the cars of the future. Many look like silver bullets or space capsules with lots of references body wise to aerodynamic principles. One interesting car, called “The Blade” is propelled along by wind thanks to a giant turbine on its tail. The turbines also used to help recharge the car’s electric battery.
The Blade looks like an amped up Trans Am with a completely smoky wrap around windshield, ergo dynamic door and driving pod and metal mesh inserts that help the wheels go faster. The back wheels are jacked up the lines of the car are very sleek with a seventies type feel.
Another prizewinning gadget ridden car in this contest was called the 888. You will never again have to worry about finding a parking space that is too small because this particular car will actually shrink to fit the parking lot space. This car is also manufactured so that it pivots at its center. It moves around the highways and byways like snake. The wheels on the 888 are also totally exposed and look more like tractor wheels than car wheels that are gripped by big shiny axles that look like metal bird claws.
There will are also many cars that were submitted that had just two wheels. One of the prize winners was Mere Yazici’s “EGO” which has two wheels and a controlled Atari shtyle joystick. The windshield also doubles as the door. It basically looks like a disc (like a cake layer on its side) and it rolls forward.
One of the most incredible cars in the contest was called the Xstreet and instead of the typical wheels you would find on today’s atuos it has big round spheres. These three spheres maneuver the car in every direction imaginable, This car has a chassis that fits up entire. It so that people can get inside of it to drive.
Almost all of the cars in this show were electric. These cars were also outfitted with state of the art alarm systems, locks, adjustable seats and of course home entertainment systems.
The drawback of all of these designs is that they only fit one or two people at any time. Many of them are solo seaters and not beasts of burden. They are not glamorous cars and more intended to be automotive fashion plates. The complaint of anyone driving them would be that they are much too small.

Maybe you would like to relax in the tub while watching your favorite television show. It is totally possible with the new bathtub television sets. You can kick back and soak away while watching your television through a water proof television cabinet with a fog greed glass frame. You can also install it right in the shower or even slightly adjacent to the shower stall. These televisions have a built in player so you can watch your favorite DVDs while you bathe.
Another really nifty thing about these television sets, which are made by a company called Jetson Systems is that hwenthe television is off the sides and front of the unit turn into a two way mirror. This allows you to peruse your reflection while you are showering. To meek the mirror disappear you simply turn on the television and your movie or other programming appears.
Enjoying these televisions can also be as good as going to theater. Kohler, the prestigious bathroom company has now designed Sound Tile Speakers which be installed right in the shower walls. The technological genius behind this concept of wet shower speakers is Polk Audio working in conjunction with the very well known and reputable bathroom fixture company Kohler.
MTI Whirlpools is another company that has come up with this technology. Transducers are fitted right inside the sides of the actual bathtub. They look like black eardrums lining the white porcelain. Of course they are completely water proof. The look of them can actually compliment the look of your whirpool jets.
By installing transducers in the actual bathtub, it can be connected to your tuner or iPod, allowing you to absorb the sound while you soak in the tub. This certainly is a new way of listening to music and the jury is out on how therapeutic this is as a hydrotherapy. However no doubt we will probably be hearing soon how music in the water is good for us psychologically and also physically.
This great little gadget transmits music from your iPod or MP3 player to its built-in water-proof speakers. With a broadcasting range of 100 feet, your iPod can be sitting safely in another room. When not in use, the unit doubles as a fog-free mirror for the shower as it too is covered with the same reflective material that is used to make two way mirrors.
