The Most Wanted High Tech Toys

Kids today can be kind of demanding. The talking Furby is already “oh so yesterday.” And that little white dog that dances to your iPod. Practically obsolete.
If you are looking for a new robotic pet for your kid then consider getting a Uglobe Pleo. This is a cyber pet dinosaur that walks, eats, and honks. It is made out of green plush and is a seriously advanced toy. It responds to touch, voices and will explore surroundings on its own. It will even act like a dinosaur watchdog in your home. It is not cheap at $400 but it is quite an impressive techno pet.
Remote controlled helicopters are also very passé. This year the toy of choice is the Flytech Bladestar which is a flying machine that can be controlled with a remote or just set free to fly around your home. It has sensors so it does not crash into the walls or ceiling. If you own two you can even have dogfights in the air with them. It could be a lot of fun watching these durable well made electronic toys crash into each other and into the walls!
If you want something more traditional then consider Elmo. The Fisher Price Elmo used to warm our hearts by cackling when it was tickled. Now the highly evolved Muppet does things like stand, sing, sit, wave, tell stories and play games. One of the most adorable things he does is fall down and asks for help. Of course he also still loves you so very much which is his signature line from over a decade ago.
The Flip Ultra is another good gift for young people because it is a so simple, durable and easy to use. Basically it s an inexpensive camcorder. It might be a good idea to teach youngsters those video making skills early in life…
This camera is impressive because it has a built in memory. It stores an hour of video easily. Although it does not have what you would call a stellar quality it is quite satisfying in terms of quality for your kids. They can watch quick clips online or share the mini movies they shot online.
There is also built in software that allows your kids to easily edit what they shot and post to sites like YouTube or MySpace which of course is all the rage these days.
If you are into the toys from yesterday and in particular the Star Wards stuff you can get a Millennium Falcon. This is something that a lot of adults have coveted since they were kids and many of us would have sold our souls to the Devil to get their paws on one.
Hasbro has made a hi-tech update of the Falcon spaceship that has an electronic engine, voice clips from the films, a cockpit that lights up and many other bells and whistles. Furthermore you can seat up to eighteen of the company’s action figures including Hans Solo, Luke Skywalker and Chewbacca in its cockpit.
