There is a consensus among extreme gaming laptop computer consumer reviewers that the very best top of the line extreme gaming laptop computer is probably the Dell XPS M1710. This is a twenty three hundred dollar laptop, which makes it more expensive than most laptops. If you buy it from the Dell website directly it can be had for about $69 a month which of course like most payment plans make it much more expensive in the long run. However if you are a serious extreme gaming addict this type of investment might be worth it to you.

One good thing about this extreme gaming laptop computer, that the company calls its maximum bling computer is that it comes outfitted with Windows Vista already so you don’t have to upgrade it. It is also blinged out with the NVIDIA PureVideo technology and GeForce, which are both graphics cards that give games and movies and stunning realism. These graphics cards also keep videos from stuttering or freezing as they are played.

This qualifies as an extreme gaming laptop because the ordinary Pentium M chip that is found in most does not run it. The Intel Core 2 Duo offers adrenaline-rush performance, giving up to two times the CPU speed for gaming and entertainment. Take the gloves off with the fierce and unrelenting performance of the Intel Core 2 Duo T7600G processor. Putting 2.33GHz of raw power at the heart of your machine, this extreme-performance technology is not only one of the fastest mobile processors available.

Aside from being a stellar example of an extreme gaming laptop computer the Dell XPS M1710 is also a great business computer because it can run so many programs at once. easy photo editing, video management, access to online content providers, optional external TV tuner, DVD playing and more.  The seventeen-inch screen is also a high definition television that gives you windows into other worlds.  Another great thing is that this extreme gaming computer also has five times the storage of regular laptops so it is next to impossible to run out of room. You could probably go years without ever having to delete anything on this thing.

This extreme gaming laptop is also described as Road Ready, boasting a heavy metal shell that protects the hard drive. It is also blinged out with diode lights both on the outside and inside. The keyboard is lit up from underneath as well.  All of the diodes on the board are also customizable so you can give this extreme gaming laptop the exact glamorous effect that you want.  It can also be accessorized with the state of the art Eclipse keyboard, the Logitech G5 gaming laser mouse and the Freedom 2.4 Gaming Joystick.

Probably the best place to buy this computer is the Dell website because they can offer financing on an expensive computer like this. They also sometimes offer interest free payments on newer or more expensive products like this extreme gaming laptop computer.

If you are newer to the Internet you might be asking yourself – “What are computer servers and just what are they used for?” You might also be asking yourself this question simply because it has never concerned you much before. Usually we don’t think about computer servers much until it is time to buy a new computer, create a computer network or if it is time to move to another country. Then suddenly, thinking about computer servers becomes a priority.

Basically, a computer server is a computer system that provides services to other computing systems over a computer network. This is not as complicated as it sounds as it simply can mean a personal computer that needs a server to connect it to an Internet. However things get a little more complicated when you realize that the term computer server can also mean a system that provides secure services so that you can conduct financial transactions over the Internet as well.  These are known as SSL connections, which stand for secure socket layer connections.

If you are operating a home office with two or more computers or a home business then you might want to look into the different types of computer servers that are available to you. This is because once you add more than one computer to any type of setup you are technically setting up a network that needs to be managed somehow. Any computer that must be talked to on a network is called a “client.”

There are all kinds of different types of computer servers out there that can be part of a network that you specifically set up to make your business run more smoothly.  The different types of computer servers include the following –

The File Server – This type of server stores files and allows several different clients (users) to share the files at the same time

The Print Server – This is the type of server that you have probably encountered most often in your life. All these types of servers do is link up several computers to one printer, fax or Xeroxing machine.  Some types of servers that print can even spool information from clients whose computers are not even in the same building.

The Web Server – You use a web server every time you use the Internet. A Web server stores content such as HTML pages, URLs, PDFs and allows those surfing the web to access them. It also stores web files, images and scripts.

The Mail Server – A mail server stores, sends, receives and shares emails between clients. A mail service can be a minimal interoffice type server or as huge as Google or Yahoo. Some types of mailing computer servers also have an instant messenger service attached to them.

The Fax Server – These types of computer servers store, sends, receive and routes faxes for clients.

The Telephony Server – These types of computer servers provide automated voice mail, voice responder messages and the type of systems that ask you to press the keypad to arrive at specific options such as “Pay your bill by credit card now?” or “Press 0 to speak to the receptionist.”

You have probably heard that computer laptop batteries explode. Unfortunately this is more than an urban myth circulating around the Internet. It’s true!

The type of computer laptop batteries that are known to explode are the lithium ion laptop batteries that are commonly used in laptops. However you don’t need to panic if you have these computer laptop batteries as the jury is still out when it comes to determining what really happened when the batteries inside Dell laptop computers started exploding last year.

The reason that these type of lithium computer laptop batteries explode is because they contain cobalt oxide. Cobalt oxide has what is called exothermic properties, which means that it can retain and release heat. If the batteries get too hot then they can overheat. Usually your first clue that the battery in your computer is about to explode is smoke spiraling out of the casing, but not always. Sometimes it bursts into flames or explodes and it does so for an unpredictable reason, meaning that it is not the result of using your laptop for too long or something like that

This is a rare occurrence but scary enough that Dell computer recently recalled millions of laptops to avoid lawsuits. However before you become frightening of using this type of computer laptop batteries in your laptop computer keep in mind that it is not known how the people who have had their computers blow up in their face were treating the computer in the first place. In other words, the dell computer company is not sure that the exploding lithium ion batteries weren’t somehow abused or tampered with by the computers that used them.

It would be also very difficult for you to buy any other type of computer laptop batteries.  Lithium-ion batteries have replaced nickel metal hydride batteries in almost all laptop computers. Lithium is a much more advanced technology but aside from bursting into flames every now and then, it is a more efficient energy source for running your computer

For one thing the lithium laptop ion batteries are a lot lighter than the old fashioned computer laptop batteries that were made out of nickel metal hybrid. They are also smaller than the nickel kind.  Also lithium laptop ion batteries don’t suffer from the “memory effect” that most computer laptop battery types do. The memory effect occurs in rechargable metal hydride batteries that have not been completely discharged all of their energy before charging. The battery “forgets” what full charge is like and even after hours of charging will not revert same level of power that it used to.

Lithium is also the preferred type of computer laptop battery simply because it lasts longer than the other types such as the standard nickel metal hydride battery that used to be inside all for the laptops. However one drawback is that when they do decide to expire, they go all at once. Experts say that lithium ion laptop bodies will last longer if you don’t wait to fully expend all of their energy before charging them.
