A strange com many in Japan offers a weird service. If you don’t trust the banks with your investments in gold and would prefer to own it yourself, then this company is for you. Linda Florence, a London based textile designer has created a truly useless invention. This is wallpaper that is covered in a silvery scratch off tape. The Smoke Doll, designed by Daniel Goddemeyer, is a big doll that helps detect how much smoke the children of a cigarette smoker might be exposed to. This doll has physical breathing behavior that gets excited about inhaling cigarette smoke. Once it senses there is cigarette smoke in the room it starts heaving and breathing. The doll starts choking and breathing until it finally stops breath. Real nicotine stains appear on the skin of the doll at this point. This is your cue to stop smoking because it means the amounts of toxins you are emitting are enough to seriously harm your children. The appearance of the sick or healthy doll will supposedly affect the parent’s decision about whether or not to smoke.
Finally, for all those obsessed Sudoku players now you can even play in the bathroom on your toilet paper? That’s right it’s the world’s first Sudoku Toilet Paper Roll. It costs thirteen dollars for 240 playing sheets.
Not exactly an invention but right up there when it comes to weird is the newest flavor of ice cream that has been invented. The recipe works best in a gadget like a homemade ice cream maker. It is a concoction called Pepto-Bismol ice cream. This is Pepto-Bismol mixed with vanilla ice cream. It is supposed to be the ultimate hangover cure and it tastes like black cherry ice cream!
